ABOUT US
Our Mission
Vitruvian Fitness® is not just another gym.
Since 2010, we have been and continue to be leaders in functional strength training and adult fitness. We’ve improved the lives of thousands of adults of all ages and abilities and we can help you, too! We established our training models on the principle that exercise should be fun and purposeful with practical real-life outcomes. We believe that you should start where you are, and we’ll meet you there. Then we’ll teach you how to progress at your pace, at the intensity that is right for you, achieving the goals you set out to accomplish.
We have trained young-at-heart adults, grown-up kids, folks with broken and worn out parts, recreational and collegiate athletes, endurance and extreme athletes, and adults in the game of life. No matter what your game is, you will get better by training with Vitruvian Fitness.
We serve the West Highlands, Berkeley, Sunnyside, Lower Highlands, and Sloans Lake neighborhoods of northwest Denver, Wheat Ridge, Edgewater, Arvada, Lakewood, Applewood, and Golden.
About our Programming
Getting healthy, fit, strong, fast, powerful, confident, and lean are all great goals. How we get there is fundamental to our approach. We work smart. And we work hard. We rest equally hard. We have fun. We don’t risk getting injured. We develop resiliency and grit. These are the behaviors that lead to success. This is why we subscribe to a few “rules” when it comes to our programming.
- All movement has purpose and applicability.
- Therapeutic work should be therapeutic.
- Use the minimum effective dose.
- Flirt with your limitations.
- Practice only good reps.
- The value of learning something new lies in the pursuit of mastery.
- Participate in the group.
- The key to success is consistency. The results you achieve will be the compounded interest of all the workouts you did or did not do.
- And in the end, it’s not about the goal. It’s about who you become along the way to achieving the goal.
Our Values
- Individuality - Our members are unique and have unique needs and goals.
- Community – Our culture and space are for people to work on their individual goals with the camaraderie and support of each other. And this community comes together in many ways to pursue athletic, recreational, philanthropic, and/or social activities.
- Positivity – Cultivating an uplifting and optimistic environment that inspires growth, resilience, and success for both our members and team.
- Strength – Seeking strength of mind, body and character.
- Functional Movement – Exercise rooted in purpose and applicability to real life.
- Continuous Improvement – Physically striving to be better at something every day.
- Education and Innovation – Intellectually seeking new methods and science to enhance our mission through continuing education and personal development.
